Policies

A policy is a set of work-profile restrictions. One policy is assigned to a group or to a single device.

A device is under its own policy, else its group's, else the Default policy the server creates on first start. The "– no own policy –" item on the device page takes the own policy away.

Groups

A group sets a policy and a geofence for many devices at once and is a target for alert rules. In the Groups section a group has a policy, zones and a geofence switch. They apply to members without their own. A device's own policy and geofence take precedence. A device is moved into a group on its page. The geofence is described on the Geofence page.

Commands

Commands are sent from the device page, the Commands tab. The same tab assigns a policy and a group, and installs an application.

On the right are the recent commands: what was sent, when, and how it ended. A command that did not go through carries the handset's answer beside it. A command sent to an offline device waits in its queue and goes out on the next connection.
