Flashing and enrolment

Answers the question How does a handset become a device in your dashboard?

There are two paths, and their consequences for the owner of the phone differ.

If the phone already runs GrapheneOS

No re-flashing is needed. The handset is connected to a computer by cable, the application creates the work profile alongside the personal side and ties the device to your server. Photographs, messages and accounts stay where they are.

One condition: the handset must not have a private profile. Alongside one the system will not create a work profile, and the application reports it.

If it runs something else

Here flashing is required, and flashing erases the handset completely.

A new phone bought by the company. It holds no data, so it can be flashed at once and handed to the employee.

A phone the person already uses. Warn them in advance and let them move their data elsewhere – after flashing there will be nothing to restore.

The enrolment itself

Flashing and enrolment are done by one application for an ordinary computer. It is on the downloads page. Connect the phone by cable and follow the instructions on screen.

The application is free and is not tied to the number of devices.
