Installing the server
SaaS and On-Premise
Answers the question How does a server we host differ from one installed on your side?
The Wyrd server runs in one of two hosting options. SaaS – we host a separate Wyrd server for you. On-Premise – the Wyrd server is installed on your own server. On-Premise is available on Plus and VIP and is agreed with support.
Phones, the console and the features of the system are the same in both options.
Server deployment
SaaS
Once the payment is confirmed, the Wyrd server is deployed automatically within a few minutes. The sign-in details for the console appear in the cabinet. The password is shown once.
On-Premise
Install the Wyrd server from the package repository or from the archive. The order is on the "Installation and first start" page, the machine requirements are on the "What the server needs" page.
Phone connection
SaaS
Phones connect to the Wyrd server through the AWS CloudFront cloud. From the outside only a request to CloudFront is visible.
On top of TLS, traffic between a phone and the Wyrd server is encrypted once more, with hybrid X25519 and ML-KEM-768 encryption. AWS can neither see nor alter the server's commands or the data the phone sends.
On-Premise
Phones connect to your server. Connecting through a proxy is described on the "Installation and first start" page.
License key
SaaS
The license key is installed on the Wyrd server automatically. The cabinet shows the term and the number of devices.
On-Premise
After payment the key appears in the cabinet. Paste it into the console as described on the "The license key" page.
Renewal
SaaS
Renew the license in the cabinet.
On-Premise
Renew the license in the cabinet and paste the new key into the console.
End of the term
How the Wyrd server works after the term ends is described on the "The license key" page.
SaaS
Seven days after the term of a license that was not renewed ends, the Wyrd server is deleted together with its data. At the same moment the phones remove their work profiles, including those with no connection to the server.
On-Premise
The Wyrd server, the console and the data stay on your server.
Updates
SaaS
The Wyrd server is updated automatically.
On-Premise
Updates are installed from the package repository or with the archive from the cabinet, as described on the "Installation and first start" page.
Access to data

On-Premise
We have no access to a Wyrd server installed on your side or to the phones it serves.
